Nails Prep
1. If you can, remove all nail lacquer prior to your appointment
2. If you have shellac/acrylic/SNS on from another salon, you will need to have this removed prior
3. Let us know if you’re a diabetic
4. Bring thongs to your pedicure service. We have disposable thongs at a charge of $3
5. Avoid coming in directly after a shower if you’re having a gel manicure. If you do shower, wait at least half an hour before coming in so your nails can harden and go back to their natural form
Nails Aftercare
1. Avoid having a shower directly after your treatment
2. Don’t wash your hair for the next 24 hours after having a gel manicure. The gel polish is still fresh and setting, so this helps to prolong your set
3. Avoid washing dishes or any type of cleaning that involves using harsh chemicals and soaking hands for the first 24 hours after your appointment
4. Do not use your nails to pick at things. Eg: stickers, jewellery clasps. Your nails are jewels, not tools.
5. Use cuticle oil daily
6. Never pick off your gel polish. This will damage your natural nails. Book in for a gel removal.
7. Japanese Gel: For nail retention, we recommend to book in every 3-4 weeks. Any longer will add stress and could potentially damage your nails.
*If we apply a set of gel nails and you damage them within 72 hours, we will repair them for you free of charge.
